Downtown Piano

We are excited to announce the arrival of our first downtown piano! The piano is located outside of the Community Arts Information Office at 149 College Avenue. We encourage pianists of all ages and abilities to stop by and play awhile! We do ask that you are gentle with the piano and sensitive to time of day or night , as well as other activities which may be happening. (For example, please don't play while the bands are performing concerts on the Henderson Lawn!)
The downtown piano "project" is brought to you by the Downtown Revitalization Committee.
Thanks to Gregg Moneyhun for donating this piano!

Toxic Moxie, Trebuchet @Sycamore Deli

Saturday, October 6, 2018 at 8 PM – 11 PM

Toxic Moxie, everyone's favorite glittery disco punks out of Richmond VA, return to their home away from home in Blacksburg for another night of dance party debauchery. Be sure to make Sycamore Deli your after party destination once the Hokie birds beat down Notre Dame, so grab a drink, throw on something sparkly, and get weird all night. With local heavy rocking darlings Trebuchet, this is one show you won't want to miss.

Toxic Moxie:
Tearing their way up and down the east coast in their rusty blue conversion van, Richmond heartthrobs Toxic Moxie have been winning over diverse audiences of punx, hippies, EDM kids and everyone in between with their instantly accessible brand of Dirty Disco Punk. Whether they are falling asleep face down on your carpet or pressuring you to finish your bottle of whiskey, it’s always a party. But take a moment to reflect on the substance found on their three EP series, and one finds a much deeper well of inspiration that draws from progressive politics and social issues in a context larger than the houses, bars, and clubs that they turn into delirious sweat orgies.

If you like Leadbelly and Lightning bolt then just give it a shot homie.
